Imagine a life with little to no rent, or mortgage. Your utility bills are almost nonexistent. You focus less on how much you have, and more on living life. As a result, you have more resources at your fingertips. You have freedom. That is what a tiny house is. Its freedom in the form of a nontraditional living space.
Many people are growing tired of the american dream rat race. We work hard to buy stuff, then work even harder to fight the stress, buying too much stuff brings. We tie ourselves to a lifetime of debt, all for what? The tiny house movement, is a revolution of people who knew there had to be a better way. Seeking a life of less stuff and more adventures– less stress and more freedom. Tiny homes provide an outlet to all of this, and more.
As the name suggests, tiny houses are small, but provide infinite possibility for customization. They function much like a traditional RV and feel completely like a home. Whether your goal is to have an RV that is all your own, or to create a living space that bleeds adventure, a tiny house may be the option for you.
I'm going to start by saying, you have options. There are a number of companies and books, that sell cookie cutter designs. The same designs they've sold to so many others. Sure you can move the components around like boxes, but that doesn't make the space custom, it makes it legos.
If you are looking for more, for a space that starts in your heart and ends in wood, then a custom design is the way to go.
I'm not just a designer that thinks tiny houses are a neat idea. I'm a person that believes in the movement. I believe that a simple life facilitates happiness. I am currently in the process of building my tiny home. I stand with you in understanding everything it takes to turn this dream, into a reality.
Building a tiny house offers you the opportunity to create a space that fits who you are. I want to help you in this journey.
